Air distribution layout

HVAC Diffuser Layout Grid

Generate evenly distributed diffuser positions across a rectangular zone and see the actual spacing that fits.

Zone and spacing inputs

This is a geometric layout planner. Diffuser throw, airflow, neck size, acoustics and obstructions require HVAC design review.
Enter zone dimensions and grid spacing.

Grid method

The calculator fits whole numbers of spaces inside the usable dimensions, then redistributes the stations evenly. This avoids a final compressed interval.

Count = floor(usable ÷ target spacing) + 1
Actual spacing = usable ÷ (count − 1)

Worked example

A 12 × 8 m room with 0.5 m offsets and a 3 m target produces a practical rectangular grid whose actual spacing is shown instead of pretending the target divides the zone perfectly.

Limitations

The output does not establish diffuser size, throw, airflow rate or final coordination with lights, beams and sprinklers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can one axis have only one position?

Yes. The tool centers that single position on the available axis.
