Mechanical piping support
HVAC Pipe Support Planner
Generate support stations along a straight pipe route while making spacing and end offsets explicit.
Support layout inputs
Spacing is a user-selected planning input, not a universal engineering rule. Verify support requirements for actual pipe size, load, temperature, insulation and project specifications.
Enter run, spacing and offsets.

How stations are generated
The usable route is divided into the smallest whole number of intervals that keeps every interval at or below the selected maximum.
Usable = route − start offset − end offset
Intervals = ceiling(usable ÷ maximum spacing)
Stations = intervals + 1
Intervals = ceiling(usable ÷ maximum spacing)
Stations = intervals + 1
Worked example
A 24 m route with 0.2 m end offsets leaves 23.6 m. At 2.5 m maximum spacing, 10 intervals are required, giving 11 stations at 2.36 m actual spacing.
Engineering boundary
The station geometry does not determine anchor capacity, rod size, trapeze design, seismic restraint or structural attachment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the end offsets be zero?
Yes mathematically.
Why is actual spacing smaller?
The usable run is redistributed evenly to avoid one oversized final interval.
