Watch DST/GMT Setting Calculator – Spring & Fall Adjustments
Daylight saving changed. See which hand moves on a GMT watch—and whether home time, local time, or both need a ±1 hour shift.
DST / GMT setup
Hand roles (quick map)
- Main hour hand — usually local time on traveller GMTs
- 24h GMT hand — often home or fixed reference time
- 24h bezel — offset read against the hour hand (bezel method)
Spring forward = clocks +1. Fall back = clocks −1. Only zones that observe DST should move.
Educational. Exact crown positions differ by Rolex GMT, Omega, Tudor, etc. Use your manual for the pull position.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I always move the GMT hand for DST? Only if that hand tracks a zone that actually changed.
Home has no DST? Leave the home/24h reference alone; adjust local only if local jumped.
Bezel GMT? Often you rotate the bezel (or local hour) rather than a true independent 24h hand.
