Watch Day-of-Week Calculator – Set Day-Date Correctly
Pick any calendar date. Get the weekday name so you can set a Day-Date (or any day wheel) without guessing.
How to use on a Day-Date watch
- Find today’s correct weekday with this tool
- Pull the crown to the day/date setting position (check your model)
- Advance the day to match
- Set the date next, then the time
- Avoid date/day quickset in the midnight danger zone on mechanicals
Some watches show the day in a chosen language (English, Spanish, etc.). Match the full name on the disc, not only the first letters.
Educational tool. Setting order differs by brand—Rolex Day-Date, Omega, and fashion day-date wheels are not identical.
Weekday list (reference)
Sunday · Monday · Tuesday · Wednesday · Thursday · Friday · Saturday
ISO week numbering treats Monday as day 1; many US calendars list Sunday first. Your watch day disc is a name, not a week-number system.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need this for a watch? Day-date watches need the correct weekday name on the disc when you set them after stopping or travel.
Does timezone matter? The calendar date you care about matters. Use the date where you are setting the watch.
Leap day? Valid leap dates (e.g. 29 Feb 2028) return a normal weekday like any other date.
