Temporary-site power planning

Temporary Power Distribution Planner — Allocate Loads Across Site Points

Plan temporary electrical distribution across site cabins, work areas, event zones or other locations by assigning user-entered loads to distribution points and comparing each point with its planning capacity.

Distribution points

Temporary loads

This is a planning allocation tool. Temporary installations may have additional electrical, protection, grounding, site and regulatory requirements that this calculator does not assess.
Define distribution points and temporary loads.

Why temporary power planning is different

Temporary sites often have several work areas drawing from a limited source. The planning problem is not merely the total connected load; it is where those loads are being supplied and whether each distribution point has enough entered capacity.

Distribution point capacity

Each point has its own capacity so a site can model separate temporary boards, local distribution units or work-area supplies rather than treating the entire site as one undifferentiated bucket.

Automatic allocation

The planner places the largest loads first into distribution points with enough remaining capacity, preferring the point named in the load row when that preference can be honored.

Why overloaded entries are flagged

A load that cannot fit is better exposed as an exception than silently assigned somewhere and made to appear acceptable.

Example

A site may have a welfare cabin point, workshop point and external lighting point. Large temporary heaters or tools can then be tested against those local planning capacities.

Limitations

The tool does not select temporary boards, protective devices, cable systems, earthing arrangements or site-compliance measures.

Frequently asked questions

Can a load be assigned to a preferred location?

Yes. Enter the distribution-point name in the load row.

What if the preferred point has no room?

The allocator attempts another point with sufficient modeled capacity and flags the result if the load cannot fit anywhere.

Can I model multiple identical tools?

Yes. Use the quantity field.
