Calculate Gold Pendant Value
Pendant-only valuation with separate gemstone and setting inputs.
All monetary results are in USD. Chain value is not included.
How Gold Pendant Value Is Calculated
Gold Value = Fine Gold × 24K Gold Price
Pendant Value = Gold Value + Gemstone + Setting + Making + Bail
The pendant is intentionally valued separately from a necklace chain so that the gold and gemstone components of each piece can be evaluated independently.
Pendant Value Without the Chain
A pendant may be sold together with a chain, but those are separate pieces of jewellery. This calculator therefore does not automatically include chain weight or chain value.
Gemstone Pendants
A pendant containing a gemstone can have significant value beyond its gold content. The gemstone and setting inputs allow those components to be kept separate from the gold calculation.
Retail Value vs Resale Value
Making charges and gemstone value may be treated differently by retailers, private buyers and gold buyers. This tool estimates value from the assumptions you provide and should not be treated as a guaranteed resale quotation.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is gold pendant value calculated?
Calculate fine gold from pendant weight and karat, multiply by gold price, then add gemstone, setting and design values.
Does pendant size determine value?

Does a gemstone change pendant value?
Yes. Its value can be entered separately from the gold value.
Should the chain be included?
No. This is a pendant-only calculator. Value the chain separately.
Does this calculate resale value?
No. It gives an estimate from entered assumptions.
