Electrical Feeder Schedule Generator

Create a structured feeder register from source, destination, load and conductor information. The output is designed to make feeder documentation easier to review and transfer into project schedules.

What a feeder schedule should capture

A feeder schedule connects the electrical source to the destination equipment in a compact documentation record. Typical planning fields include feeder identification, source equipment, destination equipment, load reference and conductor description. Adding a clear identification field makes cross-referencing drawings and field records easier.

Why source and destination are separate

“Panel A” alone does not describe a complete feeder path. A source-to-destination relationship makes the schedule much more useful for tracing distribution paths and checking whether the documented equipment relationships match the project drawings.

Load and conductor information

The generator accepts free-form load and conductor descriptions rather than inventing ratings. This avoids embedding an assumed ampacity, conductor material, insulation rating or protection arrangement into the tool.

Example

A feeder could be identified as F-01, sourced from MSB-01, destined for DB-01, associated with a 45 kW load and documented as “4C cable + PE”. The exact engineering characteristics remain project inputs and must be verified separately.

Documentation workflow

Use the generated table as a project schedule draft, then reconcile it against single-line diagrams, panel schedules, cable schedules and field information. Schedule generation is documentation work; it is not a replacement for electrical design verification.

Common mistakes

Do not reuse feeder IDs. Keep source and destination names consistent with the rest of the project documentation. Avoid placing actual conductor ratings into a schedule unless they have already been verified from the design.

Safety and limitations

This generator does not calculate conductor sizing, voltage drop, protection settings, fault ratings or compliance. It only structures user-supplied feeder information.

Frequently asked questions

Can I include feeder load in kW or kVA?

Yes. Use the project's established load notation consistently.

Does the tool select cable size?

No. Conductor descriptions are entered by the user and are not engineered automatically.

Can this be used for as-built documentation?

Yes, provided the generated schedule is reconciled with verified field information.
