What a DB schedule is for

A distribution-board schedule records the circuits associated with a particular board. Good documentation lets someone quickly connect a circuit number with its purpose, protective-device description and phase assignment.

Why this generator differs from a circuit naming planner

A naming system creates identifiers. A DB schedule organizes a board's actual circuit rows in a positional schedule. That makes circuit number, breaker and phase fields visible together rather than embedding every attribute inside a single identifier.

Phase allocation

Phase values are user-entered because the actual board configuration is project-specific. The generator does not attempt to infer a phase arrangement from load values.

Example

A schedule row might contain circuit 7, “Kitchen sockets”, “3.2 kW”, “16 A”, “L2” and a note such as “general”. The resulting schedule can then be reconciled with the physical board and drawing set.

Documentation quality

Consistent terminology is important. Use the same circuit descriptions across drawings, labels and schedules. If equipment has an official tag number, use that same reference instead of creating a second competing name.

Limitations and safety

This generator does not calculate breaker sizing, phase balance, conductor requirements or compliance. Breaker and phase information is documentation input and must be verified against the actual design.

Frequently asked questions

Can a DB schedule contain spare circuits?

Yes. Add a circuit row and describe its status clearly, such as “Spare” or “Reserved”.

Does this automatically balance phases?

No. Phase allocation remains a documented project input.

Can I use this for an as-built schedule?

Yes, after reconciling the entries against the actual board and field labels.
