How the hardware pack works
The calculator separates the door count from the per-door specification. That makes it easy to change a hinge model or fastener count without rebuilding the whole quantity takeoff.
Planning quantity = ceiling(base quantity × (1 + allowance ÷ 100))
Why per-door inputs are useful
Hardware packages differ between assemblies. One door may use three hinges while another may use a different hinge schedule or additional accessories. The calculator therefore does not assume that every door uses the same universal hardware package.
What it does not select
It does not choose hinge size, material, screw specification, lockset type, fire-rated hardware or accessibility hardware. Those are product and project specification decisions.
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add spare screws?
Yes. The percentage allowance applies to each calculated component.
Does it calculate locksets?
It can include a generic accessory-set quantity, but it does not select a lockset.
Is this a hardware specification tool?
No. It is a quantity planner based on your selected hardware assumptions.
