Chronograph Elapsed-Time Calculator – Subdial & Start/Stop
Read hours, minutes, and seconds from chrono subdials—or enter start and stop times—and get total elapsed time, decimal hours, and total seconds.
How to read a chronograph
- Center chrono seconds — usually the main elapsed seconds hand
- Minute subdial — elapsed minutes (often 30- or 60-minute scale)
- Hour subdial — elapsed hours on longer runs
- Start / stop / reset via pushers (column wheel or cam, depending on movement)
If your minute counter is a 30-minute scale, a hand at “5” after a long run may mean 5, 35, etc. — use the hour total and context.
Educational calculator for reading results. Not a race-timing certification tool.
