Antique Consignor Commission Statement Calculator

Use this statement builder to reconcile multiple consignments in a transparent way. Sold items contribute to the current settlement after the entered commission and deductions; unsold items remain in the inventory count and do not create sale proceeds. A previous balance due to the consignor can be added to the current settlement.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter a prior balance due to the consignor, if applicable. Use zero when there is no prior balance.
  2. List one item per line: Item | sale price | commission % | refund | payment fee | authorized deduction | status. Use SOLD or UNSOLD in the final field.
  3. Review the item-by-item settlement, estimated amount payable, unsold inventory count, and gross sale subtotal. Verify the deductions against signed terms and sales records.

Calculation method

For each SOLD item, net = sale price − commission − refund − payment fee − authorized deduction. The settlement amount = prior balance due + sum of sold-item net amounts. UNSOLD lines remain inventory and contribute zero to current proceeds.

Worked example

For a sold item at 300 with a 25% commission, 10 refund, 3 payment fee, and 5 authorized deduction, its line contribution is 207. An unsold item stays in the inventory count until sold or returned.

Important assumptions and limitations

Frequently asked questions

What is the previous balance?

It is an amount already owed to the consignor from an earlier statement. Enter zero if no credit is due.

What is counted as unsold inventory?

Every line marked UNSOLD is included in the unsold-item count and is excluded from the current payout subtotal.

Can a sold item reduce the settlement below zero?

Yes, if entered refunds and deductions exceed the sale price. Review the line carefully before treating it as a final payable amount.

Should tax be included as a deduction?

Only according to your local rules and the agreed settlement method. This statement does not calculate tax obligations automatically.

Can I use this as an official invoice?

It is a statement estimate. Confirm the figures, contract terms, legal requirements, and business record format before issuing a formal account.
