Tyre Pressure Load Advisor

Use your vehicle's verified tyre-pressure settings to identify the applicable pressure for normal or loaded driving. The calculator does not generate pressure from vehicle weight.

How this load advisor works

The tool does not attempt to derive tyre pressure from passenger weight, cargo weight or tyre size. Instead, it asks you to enter the vehicle's verified pressure settings for normal and loaded conditions and then helps select the applicable row.

Why manufacturer guidance controls

Tyre pressure recommendations are vehicle-specific and can vary with axle load, tyre specification, vehicle configuration and the required operating condition. The owner's manual, tyre placard or applicable manufacturer documentation should be the controlling source.

What passenger and cargo information does here

Those entries describe the scenario you are preparing for. They do not override the manufacturer's pressure table.

Towing needs special attention

A trailer can create additional axle loading and may have separate towing-related guidance. Use the exact towing instructions for the vehicle and trailer combination rather than assuming the loaded-car setting always applies.

Pressure should normally be checked under the specified conditions

Use the measurement condition stated by the manufacturer, commonly a cold-tyre check. A recently driven tyre can show a different pressure because of heat.

Recheck after changing the load

If the vehicle switches between light and heavily loaded use, confirm which manufacturer pressure setting applies to that scenario.

FAQs

Can this calculate the pressure from vehicle weight?

No. That would require vehicle-specific engineering data and manufacturer requirements.

Should I use the number printed on the tyre sidewall?

No. The sidewall maximum is not a substitute for the vehicle manufacturer's recommended operating pressure.

Does towing always mean higher pressure?

Do not assume a universal rule. Use the vehicle's towing guidance for the exact configuration.
