Liquid glass you can play with
Hueglass Pond is a quiet colour playground. Glossy, translucent blobs drift across a slowly flowing backdrop, and when two blobs touch they melt into one smooth shape. A moving highlight follows your finger or mouse, so the glass looks thick, curved and three-dimensional while you stay on a flat screen. Take your time, nudge the colours around, and save a wallpaper when you find a combination you love.
How to use it
- Tap empty water to drop a new colour. It lands with a soft chime.
- Drag a blob to move it. Bring two close together and watch them merge.
- Tap a blob without moving to change its colour.
- Choose a palette, then use Hue shift to slide every colour around the colour wheel.
- Press Save wallpaper to download the current view as a PNG.
Frequently asked questions
Is Hueglass Pond a game?
No. There is no score, timer or goal. Stay as long as you like.
Can I save the picture as a wallpaper?
Yes. Press Save wallpaper to download a PNG of the current view. Use full screen first for a larger image.
Why is there no sound until I tap?
Browsers only allow audio after a tap or click. Touch the pond once and the soft sounds begin. Headphones work best.
Why does it need WebGL?
The glass look is drawn by your graphics chip, which lets the blobs merge smoothly and catch light in real time. Nearly every current phone and computer supports it.
