Gold Weight Goal Formula

Remaining Gold = Target Weight − Current Weight

Progress % = Current Weight ÷ Target Weight × 100

Simple Months = Remaining Weight ÷ Monthly Gold Addition

The optional annual growth field models growth in accumulated weight mathematically, but the simple monthly-purchase result is often easier to interpret.

Why Weight Goals Can Be Different From Value Goals

A weight target focuses on the amount of physical gold owned. Its USD value can change substantially as the market price changes, so a fixed-gram objective behaves differently from a fixed-dollar wealth objective.

Use a Consistent Definition of Gold Weight

Decide whether your goal refers to gross product weight or fine-gold weight. The same definition should be used for both current holdings and future purchases.

Jewellery, coins and bars can contain different purities, so gross grams are not automatically comparable with fine-gold grams.
