Gold Stocktake Method

Fine Gold per Lot = Weight × Purity ÷ 100

Total Fine Gold = Sum of Fine Gold per Lot

Weighted Average Purity = Total Fine Gold ÷ Total Weight × 100

The weighted-average purity prevents a small high-purity lot from receiving the same influence as a much larger low-purity lot.

Why Lots Should Stay Separate During a Stocktake

Coins, scrap, jewellery, bars and production material can have different purities and valuation assumptions. Separating them preserves traceability and reduces averaging errors.

The value estimate uses one gold price per gram for all lots. Product-specific premiums should be analyzed separately when relevant.
