What an equipment connection schedule should capture
A useful equipment schedule bridges the gap between a raw equipment list and a coordinated electrical drawing or installation record. The exact fields vary by project, but equipment identification, load basis, quantity, circuit reference, phase or connection type and notes are common coordination details.
Why circuit references matter
A circuit ID gives the equipment schedule a relationship to a panel directory, drawing, distribution board or other project documentation. It can also make later reconciliation easier when the equipment list and circuit list are maintained separately.
Watts and VA are not interchangeable labels
The schedule preserves the load basis you select. This helps avoid silently treating an apparent-power value as though it were real power or the reverse.
Why phase should be visible
Phase information is useful for documentation and coordination. For three-phase equipment, identify the connection as three-phase rather than treating it as three unrelated single-phase rows.
Example workflow
A project team can enter a refrigerator on circuit C-12, a dishwasher on C-13 and a workshop machine on C-21, then print the resulting schedule for coordination with panel documentation.
What the generator does not decide
This tool does not select protective devices, determine conductor ampacity, approve an installation or establish a code-compliant connection method. Those decisions require the appropriate design review.
Frequently asked questions
Can I print the generated schedule?
Yes. The generated table is formatted for browser printing.
Can equipment have quantities above one?
Yes. Quantity is shown directly in the schedule and the calculated load indication reflects the total quantity.
Can I use VA?
Yes. Select VA when the source equipment information is expressed as apparent power.
