Free interactive tool to learn and practice reading analog clocks and watches. Perfect for kids, students and anyone who wants to get better at telling time the classic way.
What time is shown on the clock?
An analog clock has two or three hands. The short hand shows the hour, the long hand shows the minutes, and the thin hand (if present) shows the seconds.
The clock face is divided into 12 hours. Each number also represents 5 minutes (1 = 5 min, 2 = 10 min, 3 = 15 min, and so on). When the minute hand points to 12 it is exactly on the hour. When it points to 6 it is half past the hour.
Who is this Analog Clock Trainer for? It is designed for children learning to tell time, parents and teachers, and adults who want to refresh their skills with analog clocks and watches.
How does the practice mode work? The trainer shows a random time on the analog clock. Type the time you see (for example 7:20) and press Check Answer. You get immediate feedback and a new time to practice.
Is this tool free? Yes. The Analog Clock Trainer is completely free and works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers.
Does it teach both hours and minutes? Yes. Every generated time includes both the hour hand and the minute hand so you practice reading the full time.
