Gold Retirement Allocation Formula

Current Gold Allocation = Gold Holdings ÷ Portfolio × 100

Target Gold Amount = Portfolio × Target Allocation ÷ 100

Allocation Gap = Target Gold Amount − Current Gold Holdings

The calculation is based on your selected target allocation. It does not prescribe what percentage should be appropriate for your retirement portfolio.

Why Allocation Percentage Is More Useful Than a Dollar Amount Alone

A fixed gold dollar amount can become a smaller or larger portfolio percentage as the rest of the portfolio changes. An allocation framework makes the relationship explicit.

Gold Allocation and Retirement Planning

Retirement planning involves time horizon, liquidity needs, risk tolerance, income requirements and diversification. A calculator can quantify an allocation target, but it cannot determine which allocation is suitable for a specific person.

This tool is an allocation arithmetic calculator, not personalized financial advice.
