Step into a cinematic rainy night with moving 3D rain, distant thunder, warm architecture and dramatic lightning. This relaxing ASMR experience is designed for sleep, relaxation, reading, studying and background ambience.
The storm can be customized without reloading the page. Increase the rain for a heavy downpour, slow it down for a softer atmosphere, change the lightning intensity, adjust thunder and control the overall sound level.
The audio combines several layers instead of relying on a nearly silent single tone. Rain uses filtered broadband noise, while distant thunder uses deep low-frequency sound with randomized timing. The default volume is intentionally strong enough to be heard through normal phone speakers, although actual loudness depends on the device volume and speaker hardware.
Rain controls the visible rainfall and its audio level. Speed changes how quickly the rain travels through the scene. Lightning controls the frequency of storm flashes, while Thunder controls the strength of the thunder layer. Volume adjusts the complete audio mix.
The scene uses Three.js WebGL rendering with a capped particle system, reused geometry and a limited device pixel ratio. This avoids creating thousands of separate HTML elements and helps the animation stay smooth on mobile browsers.
